Welcome to The Cracked Pot Cottage.

My name is Susan Drake, resident artist and sentimentalist.

I am passionate about recreating broken treasures.

Though I have explored various media, from sculpting to painting, I’m happiest when I’m making beautiful mosaics, jewelry and home and garden accessories out of broken or discarded materials.

As an English Canadian—born in Lancashire, England, now living in southern Ontario—I am inspired by both of my national identities. On one side, I love Cottage and tea parties themes, gardens, linens and lace. On the other, I’m drawn to nature, camping and great outdoors. You will see these inspirations come through in most of my art.
